104-year-old lady undergoes orthopaedic surgery

A major orthopaedic surgery was recently carried out in the district on a 104-year-old-lady who suffered a hip fracture. Mariyam Beevi of Dar ul Huda, Navaikulam, the great grandmother of five generations, survived this intricate procedure, which made her able to move about with the help of walker on the very seventh day after surgery.
